What is that the TN BJP should do in 2016?

If what TN BJP claiming is true, that they are the true alternate for DMK and ADMK, then the following is what TN BJP should do:

1. Contest Alone 
2. Identify 100 favorable constituencies and contest only on those.

Now, by contesting alone you are proving that you are the alternate for the Dravidian parties and giving an opportunity for the voter to vote against the Dravidian parties.

What are the 100 favorable constituencies: Let's take the parliament constituencies and go from there.

ஸ்ரீரங்கம் இடைதேர்தல் நமக்கு சொல்லும் பாடம் என்ன?

இடைதேர்தல் என்ற பெயரில் மற்றுமொரு கேலிக்கூத்து. 

திருவரங்கத்தில் எதனால் இடைதேர்தல் என்பது அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே. ஆனால் தேர்தல் நடத்துகிறேன் பேர்வழி என்று ஜனநாயகத்தையும், அரசியல் சாசனத்தையும் ஏன் கொச்சை படுத்துகிறீர்கள் என்பதே என் கேள்வி. இது மத்திய மாநில அரசுகளுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல முக்கியமாக தேர்தல் ஆணையத்திற்க்கான கேள்வி.

ஒரு ஓட்டுக்கு 2000 ரூபாய் என்று எல்லா ஊடகங்களும் சொல்கின்றன, இது ஊரறிந்த ரகசியமாக உள்ளது. தமிழக அரசே நிதி இல்லாமல் திண்டாடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் இந்த வேளையில் இந்த இடைத்தேர்தல் அவசியம் தானா?

இது என்ன கேள்வி?? ஒரு சட்டமன்ற தொகுதி காலியாக இருக்க கூடாதே... அந்த தொகுதிக்கான பிரதிநிதி சட்டமன்றத்தில் இல்லாமல் போய் விடுவாரே? அதெல்லாம் சரி Ground Reality என்று சொல்லக்கூடிய அசல் நிலவரம் வேறு மாதிரி இருக்கிறதே, இதற்கு இப்ப என்ன செய்யலாம்?

இடைதேர்தல் என்ற முறையையே தற்காலிகமாக ரத்து செய்து விடலாம். அதெப்படி, இடேதேர்தல் நடந்தால் தான், மக்கள் ஒரு மாற்றத்தை விரும்பினால் அதற்கு வாக்களிக்க முடியும்? கேள்வியெல்லாம் சரிதான்.. ஆனால் மக்கள் தான் தங்கள் வாக்குகளை விற்கிறார்களே. அப்படி வாக்குகளை விற்கும் மக்களுக்கும், மக்களை அந்த நிலைமைக்கு தள்ளிய அரசியில் கட்சிகளுக்கும், இடைத்தேர்தல் ஒரு கேடா?

அரசியல் அமைப்பு சட்டத்தில் ஒரு மாற்றம் கொண்டு வருவோம், எந்த ஒரு தொகுதி காலியாகிறதோ, அந்த தொகுதியில் ஆளும் கட்சியே ஒரு உறுப்பினரை தேர்வு செய்து சட்டமன்றத்திற்க்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கலாம்.

எப்படி இருந்தாலும் ஆளும் கட்சி தான் வெற்றி பெறப்போகிறது, இதற்க்கெதற்க்கு மக்களின் வரிப்பணம் வீணடிக்கப்படவேண்டும்? 

நமக்கு ஜனநாயகத்தையும், அரசியலமைப்பையும் பேணிக்காக்கும் பக்குவம் வந்த பின் இடைதேர்தல் முறையை மீண்டும் கொண்டு வரலாம்.

சிந்திப்பார்களா ஆட்சியாளர்கள்??

தருண் விஜய்க்கும் திருக்குறளுக்கும் என்னய்யா சம்பந்தம்? 

What is that some-bandam that Tarun Vijay is having with ThiruKural?

What is the need for him to do this ThiruValluvar Thiru Payanam? Media  and  so called opportunistic owners of Tamil and Thirukural started screaming, BJP is trying to make their (tamil) identity in Tamil Nadu via Tarun Vijay.

RSS ideology believes that  all the languages came from Sanskrit, how come suddenly Tarun Vijay realizing the value of Tamil and ThiruKural? Doing all these is just eye wash. Etc., etc., etc., Blah! Blah! Blah!

I noticed his speech today, and I saw the truth in his eyes and the words he chose for his speech were really touching and made complete sense.

One thing that really inspired me is the question he raised. Are the political ideologies bigger than ThiruKural? Or ThiruValluvar? Let’s all get together and celebrate the Divine Poet.

My question to the TN political parties is this: Even if BJP is trying to search for their identity in Tamil Nadu via ThiruValluvar and ThiruKural what is wrong in it? BJP is doing exactly what Mahakavi Bharathi said. Bharathi said 

சூரரைப் போற்று. Meaning, praise the legends. 

What Shri.Tarun Vijay did was just praising the great legend.

So, whatever may be the reason behind the ThiruValluvar ThiruPayanam;  end of the day, ThiruKural and ThiruValluvar and Tamil were getting praised and as Tamils let’s rejoice this and Thank Shri.Tarun Vijay for celebrating our Divine Poet.

ThiruKural on Agriculture

Wish you all a very happy Pongal; Hope this month of Thai brings us all lot of hope and brightness in all our lives.

Since the Tamil month “Thai” falls in January, January is always special for me. The birth of “Thai” month has been celebrated as pongal festival throughout TamilNadu and as Makara-Sankranthi in Northern India.

While celebrating farmers and the thanksgiving to farmers and the nature, let’s focus on what Thiruvalluvar had told us about Agriculture. 

The agriculture related couplets are from the chapter “Kudiyiyal” (குடியியல்)

உழுதுண்டு வாழ்வாரே வாழ்வர்மற்

றெல்லாம் தொழுதுண்டு பின்செல் பவர்

Translation:

Who plough eat their food and give food to others are the ones who are living; rest of the people are dependent to the people who are ploughing.

Explanation:

They alone live who live by agriculture; all others lead a cringing, dependent life.

உழவார் உலகத்தார்க்கு ஆணிஅக் தாற்றாது                         

எழவாரை எல்லாம் பொறுத்து

Explanation:

The farmers are the linch-pin of the world; since they bear the responsibility of providing food for the people who cannot plough and doing other work.

The Pongal festival is all about thanks giving to the nature, especially the sun god for helping the farmers to produce food. As we all know the kids these days think the food they eat comes from the shop.

It’s our responsibility to teach them there are farmers who are working hard to produce the food we eat, whether it is grains or vegetables. It’s high time we need to pay close attention to agriculture since the increasing urban areas eating away all the agriculture land.

The global warming, increase in vehicles, increase in concrete jungle, decrease in trees are slowly disturbing the nature and the monsoon setting is not like how it used to be.

As Thiruvalluvur said, farmers are the linch-pin of this world, reducing agriculture land and farmers leaving the agriculture profession in large numbers are a wake up call to all of us.

Let’s protect farmers and agriculture, so that our children will have food in their plate.

Thirukural on Motivation

Ever since I have taken up this project of “Taking ThiruKural to Youths” I am so excited that I got a chance to read more and more Couplets (Kural/குறள்) from various chapters (அதிகாரம்) that I have never read before. Thanks to MetroBuzz for giving me this great opportunity.

For this week my focus is going to be on some of the couplets from the chapter “ஊக்கமுடைமை” (Having Faith in Self). This is my favorite chapter from ThiruKural, whenever I feel low; I just read this chapter, immediately I change my thought process and gain my confidence back.

When we all see a Lotus in the pond we become cheerful, amazed and say WOW!!! How Pretty and Colorful? But when ThiruValluvar saw the Lotus, he thought of something else. He monitored our National Flower closely every day and noticed that whenever the water level is decreasing in the pond the height of the lotus also reduced to the height of the water. When it rained and the water level is raised, the height of the lotus was also raised to the same level of the water.

There are no words to praise this great saint’s impeccable divinity and brilliance, he came up with the below couplet (Kural/குறள்).

வெள்ளத் தனைய மலர்நீட்டம் மாந்தர்தம்                                               உள்ளத் தனைய உயர்வு.

Meaning:

Height of the Water is the height of Lotus. Similarly the height of your thoughts will make the height of your life. In other words, if your thoughts are high and positive you will reach great heights in life.

Here is another couplet, from the same chapter:

உள்ளுவ தெல்லாம் உயர்வுள்ளல் மற்றது                                                 தள்ளினுந் தள்ளாமை நீர்த்து.

Meaning:

You must always think and aim high, though sometimes things didn’t happen in your favor, you must never lose your positive attitude and continue to aim high.

My sincere request to today’s parents of Tamil Nadu, please do teach your kids Tamil, if they don’t learn Tamil they are going to miss out a great treasure in their life, moreover the kids will lose their identity. Ignoring Mother Tongue is as same as ignoring The Mother and the Mother Land. Learning Mother Tongue is a must and not an option.

These are not just my words, Mahakavi Subramanya Bharathi says the below,

யாமறிந்த புலவரிலே கம்பனைபோல், வள்ளுவன்போல், இளங்கோவைப்போல் பூமிதனில் யாங்கணுமே பிறந்ததில்லை. உண்மை வெறும்புகழ்ச்சியில்லை! ஊமையராய்ச் செவிடர்களாய்க் குருடர்களாய் வாழ்கின்றோம்; ஒரு சொற் கேளீர் - சேமமுற வேண்டுமெனில் தெருவெல்லாம் தமிழ்முழக்கம் செழிக்கச் செய்வீர்!
